MEDSURG

  1. One visitor will be allowed in at any time of the day for a maximum of 30 minutes.
  2. No children under 10 years of age are allowed into the patient’s room.
  3. Upon arriving at the ward, the visitor will introduce himself or herself to the team leader, who will consult with the nurse assigned to the patient, to determine whether the time is appropriate for a visit.
  4. Visitors will have to wear a mask, wash their hands and sanitize before entry.
  5. Any persons with cold- or flu-like symptoms will not be allowed in.
  6. No bedsiders will be allowed, with the exception of the following:
    1. Terminal patients;
    2. Children under 16 years old;
    3. Mentally Unstable patients;
    4. Only one bedsider per person allowed in these cases, and they can be replaced from time to time.
  7. Any visitor or bedsider will have to leave immediately if requested by the nurse, for whatever reason.

 

MATERNITY

  1. Visitors will require the prior approval of the midwife on duty, to enter the Maternity Department.
  2. Visitors will be allowed for a maximum of 15 minutes, during the following times:
    1. 09:00 – 12:00; and
    2. 15:00 – 17:00.
  3. Visitors will have to wear a mask, wash their hands and sanitize before entry.
  4. Any persons with cold- or flu-like symptoms will not be allowed in.
  5. Any visitor will have to leave immediately if requested by the midwife on duty, for whatever reason.
  6. PHONES ON SILENCE

 

NICU

  1. Parents will require the prior approval of the nurse on duty, to enter the NICU.
  2. One parent at a time will be allowed into NICU, during the following times:
    1. 10:00 – 17:00 and
    2. 20:00 – 22:00.
    3. When breastfeeding no limit
  3. Parents can alternate, but only one parent at a time will be allowed in.
  4. Parents will have to wear full Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) , wash their hands and sanitize before entry.
  5. Any persons with cold- or flu-like symptoms will not be allowed in.
  6. PHONES ON SILENCE
  7. Babies are very sensitive to noise, please keep your voice down.
  8. Any visitor will have to leave immediately if requested by the nurse or midwife on duty, for whatever reason.

  

ICU and CCU

  1. Visitors will require the prior approval of the nurse on duty to enter the ICU or CCU
  2. Only one person will be allowed to visit, per day, for 5 minutes from 11:00.
  3. In case of a death, at any time during the day, one person will be allowed to visit.
  4. In case of death in CCU or ICU, and in case there is another patient present, the body will be transferred to another room.
  5. Visitors will wear PPE, wash their hands and sanitize before entry.
  6. Visitors will remain at a distance of at least 2m in CCU and 1 meter in ICU from any patient, at all times.
  7. Visitors will require the prior approval of the nurse on duty, to enter the ICU or CCU.
  8. Any persons with cold- or flu-like symptoms will not be allowed in.
  9. All mobile phones must be off.
  10. Any visitor will have to leave immediately if requested by the nurse on duty, for whatever reason.

  

OPD

  1. Visitors will have to wear a mask, wash their hands and sanitize before entry.
  2. Any persons with cold- or flu-like symptoms will not be allowed in.
  3. In case of children under 16 years of age, both parents may be present.
